Stayed in bunker for 60 days, husband stood on the front

Anna Zaitseva, 24, lived in a bunker on the outskirts of Mariupol for 60 days with her son Svyatoslav and mother Larisa and father. At the same time, her husband is taking the front for the country. Before Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there was a small family of five, including three cats and a dog. Everything is left behind. There was a sudden upheaval in a life full of happiness. Anna went through such a difficult life with her small child and old parents, mentioning which she still weeps.

I was hungry myself so I could feed my parents

Anna was living in the bunker with her parents and a four-month-old baby. There, only one time meal was available. The difficulties increased with each passing day. The weight of Anna and her mother Larisa decreased by about 9 kg. At the same time, his father also lost a lot of weight. Due to lack of food, the teeth of many women started falling. Anna says- 'Sometimes I used to pretend to be full so that I could give food to my parents.'

Heated water on a candle for the child to eat

There was no water there at all. We used to melt snow or use rain water for drinking. The water for the child's food had to be heated over a candle. Anna's son Svyatoslav was one of 18 children in the bunker. The whole time the kids take pictures of food or play as if they are in the supermarket. He asks anna do you want tomatoes? you want apple? I felt so bad for my child. Such a life was not of his will.

Husband re-worn uniform to serve the country

Anna's husband Kirill worked for the Ukrainian Army. But he left that job sometime back. But after the Russian attack, Kirill rejoined the army. Kirill is badly injured in the Russian attack. This information was given to Anna by the Ukrainian Army. While talking on the phone, Kirill asked- 'If I can never walk, will you love me then?' Anna replied - are you crazy? I will love you always. Just come alive from there.

In the midst of labor pain, took a promise from the husband to leave the army

Before leaving the army, Kirill was stationed in the eastern province of Donbass. Where there is already a dispute because of the Russian-backed separatists. Talking about her love story, Anna says – In January last year, both of us met on a coffee date. I got pregnant within a few days of romance. Then we got married in Mariupol. And in October last year, I gave birth to a son. I did not like Kirill working in the army. During the five-hour labor pain in the maternity ward, I held my husband's hand and requested him to leave the army. I said you have a baby now. Apart from the army, do any other work. Kirill obeyed me and left the army and got the job of security guard in a plant. February 28, Kirill left to rejoin the Ukrainian army. I said seeing that
